This "Tree of Andry" sculpture was a custom request as a gift for a graduate of Orthopedic school. The "Tree of Andry" was originally illustrated by Nicholas Andry in 1741. He included his illustration in his book "Orthopedie" that was based on the deformities of the spine in children. The sculpture represents Andry's ideas of a sapling (spine) tied to a stake and being straightened by the applications of Orthopedics.
This sculpture is created with bronze enameled wire but can also made with silver, copper, gold, brown and other colors upon request.

Wire trees sculptures can be cleaned with "canned air" often used for cleaning computer keyboards. The stone based can be cleaned with a damp rag.
